Written by sara on February 06 2019

As some of you may remember, Jensen filmed a small role in Josh Duhamel’s directoral debut, The Buddy Games – shot in Vancouver, Canada which centers around a group of friends taking part in ‘the buddy games’ every year. The cast includes Olivia Munn, Dax Shepard, Kevin Dillon, Nick Swardson, James Roday and Dan Bakkedahl. Filmed in the summer of 2017 it is having its worldwide premiere this coming week!

The upcoming 2nd Annual Mammoth Film Festival has announced that The Buddy Games will be the closing night Gala Film on Sunday, with a QandA with the cast afterwards; below is a brief description of the movie from Mammoth Film Festival;

The film tells the story of a group of friends who reunite every year to play the Buddy Games – a wild assortment of absurd physical and mental challenges. In the process, they heal old wounds, right past wrongs, and figure out the true meaning of friendship.

We do not know yet if Jensen will be attending the event, although we hope he does, we want to wish Josh and the rest of the cast all the success on this amazing night!

[News] Jensen to reign as King of Bacchus this Mardi Gras

Written by sara on January 23 2019

Some fun and exciting news was shared today; Jensen has been chosen to reigh as King of Bacchus for Mardis Gras 2019 on Sunday, March 3.  For those that are unsure of what that means many outlets have been sharing a quick history of what it means to be King;

Ackles continues a tradition started in 1969, when Bacchus introduced Danny Kaye as its first celebrity monarch. Since then, a legion of stars have held the annual honor, from Bob Hope to Kirk Douglas and from Will Ferrell to last year’s Bacchus, J.K. Simmons.

The 1,600-member Krewe of Bacchus will, as has become tradition, hit the streets of New Orleans on the Sunday night before Mardi Gras. The parade will be broadcast locally on WWL-Ch. 4 and it will be followed by the annual Bacchus Rendezvous party at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

We look forward to seeing Jensen all dressed up and looking as regal and majestic and we are sure he will have an amazing time celebrating in New Orleans.

Update: Jensen took to twitter to thank fans!

Here are some tweets congratulating the King!

[Casting] Batman: The Long Halloween

Written by sara on January 04 2019

Exciting news for fans of the DC/Batman universe, as Jensen is rumored to be taking on a new role in the a new project, Batman: The Long Halloween. A synopsis for the story can be found below;

“Christmas. St. Patrick’s Day. Easter. As the calendar’s days stack up, so do the bodies littered in the streets of Gotham City. A murderer is loose, killing only on holidays. The only man that can stop this fiend? The Dark Knight. In a mystery taking place during Batman’s early days of crime fighting, Batman: The Long Halloween is one of the greatest Dark Knight stories ever told.

Working with District Attorney Harvey Dent and Lieutenant James Gordon, Batman races against the calendar as he tries to discover who Holiday is before he claims his next victim each month. A mystery that has the reader continually guessing the identity of the killer, this story also ties into the events that transform Harvey Dent into Batman’s deadly enemy, Two-Face.”

This exciting news was first shared by Revenge of the Fans who have shared similar casting news in the past – while they are able to share news of the voice cast the character’s they voicing is not able to be shared – although some educated guess have been made and some believe that Jensen could possibly be voicing Harvey Dent in these upcoming movies.

We hope we get some more official news and confirmation on this project soon but for now I am sure I am not alone in saying that this sounds like a very interesting and exciting project!
