[News] Jensen to reign as King of Bacchus this Mardi Gras

Some fun and exciting news was shared today; Jensen has been chosen to reigh as King of Bacchus for Mardis Gras 2019 on Sunday, March 3.  For those that are unsure of what that means many outlets have been sharing a quick history of what it means to be King;

Ackles continues a tradition started in 1969, when Bacchus introduced Danny Kaye as its first celebrity monarch. Since then, a legion of stars have held the annual honor, from Bob Hope to Kirk Douglas and from Will Ferrell to last year’s Bacchus, J.K. Simmons.

The 1,600-member Krewe of Bacchus will, as has become tradition, hit the streets of New Orleans on the Sunday night before Mardi Gras. The parade will be broadcast locally on WWL-Ch. 4 and it will be followed by the annual Bacchus Rendezvous party at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

We look forward to seeing Jensen all dressed up and looking as regal and majestic and we are sure he will have an amazing time celebrating in New Orleans.

Update: Jensen took to twitter to thank fans!

Here are some tweets congratulating the King!
