As you may have seen North Carolina has been badly affected by Hurricane Florence. Jensen’s wife Danneel, alongside her former One Tree Hill co-stars are raising funds to help. Jensen also has a connection to the state as that is where is filmed series 6 of Dawson’s Creek when he was a regular cast member. Earlier today Danneel shared a video of herself along with Jensen explaining the fundraising efforts and linked to a page for people to donate;
In wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Florence, the Ladies of One Tree Hill and I have started a @crowdrise page with @randomactsorg to help those impacted by this powerful storm. We will have people on the ground in Wilmington(when it’s safe to return) ready to distribute what is needed to those who need it throughout the Carolinas. Thank you as always for your steadfast support.
Screencaptures of the video have also been added to the gallery.
I have added an additional photo from the Soul Cycle Charity Ride that was hosted by Jensen and Danneel to the gallery; a group photo shared by Danneel on her instagram page where the Ackles’ have thanked fans for raising 28K for the chosen charities!
That same night Jensen also attended a birthday party for friend Billy Mercer (he is a makeup artist working in Austin who has worked with Danneel on many occasions) – Clif Kosterman and Danneel shared a few photos from the night and they can also be viewed in the gallery.

It was announced at a recent convention, Jensen alongside fellow friends for Random Acts’ Endure 4 Kindness (E4K) fundraiser on November 25, the team (Jensen, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins, Rob Benedict, Jason Manns, Rachel Miner, and maybe some of their spouses) will run the Seattle Marathon to support kids in need.
In order to get in a little extra training ahead of the big event Jensen and wife Danneel have decided to host a Soul Cycle Charity Ride on September 15 in Austin, Texas while also raising funds for charity! Jensen posted a short video to his Instagram page explaining briefly what they are doing;
Come jump on a bike with us for a 45-minute ride, then hang out afterwards for 30 minutes of refreshments, sweaty photos, and conversation! The first 114 participants that donate $100 or more AND fill out this form will get to join us for a ride; the top 12 donors in each class will be moved to the front row of the class for up-close motivation from Jensen and our amazing instructor Chris Chandler.
Source – visit the Crowdrise page to donate.
A goal of $11,400 has been set and already met in less than one week! Jensen and Danneel have also pledged to match the donation received with 100% of proceeds going to the chosen charities as listed on the donation page. We wish Jensen the best of luck with his training and can’t wait to see some fun photos from the day!
There is no denying that the fundraising efforts from Jensen/Danneel/The Family Business Beer Company have been amazing – at the time of this post over $225,000 has been raised on the crowdrise page, with Jensen and Danneel pledging a direct donation to Random Acts of $50,000. This is going to be an immense help to all of the chosen charities who will be benefiting from the fundraising, which you can read about, under the read more here.
But first, check out these thank you video’s that were posted by Jensen on his Instagram and also one shared by Danneel featuring JJ, Zeppelin and Arrow.
